PHO Speaker Series: Dr. Azlan Tariq discusses "Arthritis and Pain"
Presentation by Dr. Azlan Tariq for pre-med/pre-health students and community members focusing on a very common diagnosis and problem people face which is Arthritis and pain. Dr. Azlan Tariq is a Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician and the Chief Clinical Officer for Integrated Rehab Consultants. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors in Biology, Business Management, and Anthropology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and obtained his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon graduating from medical school, Dr. Tariq joined the Department of Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital Chicago as an intern and went on to complete a three year residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, Illinois. Dr. Tariq was awarded the Resident of the Year honor by his residency program. He then went on to University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed six months of additional training in Pain and Musculoskeletal Medicine. Dr. Tariq and his PA currently provide Physiatry services to Post-Acute facilities in Northwest Indiana. Dr. Tariq is also the owner and founder of Optimal Health Medical Fitness, dedicated to providing the most advanced non-surgical orthopedic and regenerative medicine treatments in the Chicagoland area.
