Organic Theatre Company presents "Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol"
Everybody knows the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge's miraculous redemption, but what about his late business partner Jacob Marley? Marley, after all, was the ghost responsible for the old miser's transformation, so isn't it time he got a little recognition? In the funny and heartwarming “Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol,” he does. Chained and shackled, Marley is condemned to a hellish eternity. He's even given his own private tormentor: a malicious sprite who thoroughly enjoys her work. To escape his own bonds, Marley must first redeem Scrooge. So begins a journey of laughter and terror, redemption and renewal, during which Scrooge's heart is opened—but not before Marley discovers his own. This is the tenth annual production of Tom Mula's adaptation of Dickens' classic at Naperville's Meiley-Swallow Hall Theatre.
