The drama "They Call Me Q" will be presented at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, in Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave., as part of North Central's Anti-Hate Week. This play is the story of an Indian girl growing up in the Boogie Down Bronx who gracefully seeks balance between the cultural pressures of her traditional parents and acceptance in her new culture. Along the journey, Off-Broadway actor Qurrat Ann Kadwani transforms into 13 characters who have shaped her life, including her parents, Caucasian teachers, Puerto Rican classmates and African-American friends." This Globalization Series event is free.
