Bogumil Bronkowski and Nathan Motsinger will be exhibiting their paintings together in Schoenherr Gallery.
Bronkowski's current body of work explores the concepts of struggle, place, and belonging. It reflects his own personal experiences. The viewers must work to solve and make visual sense of each image. His work plays with the senses of space and depth, and his paintings do not always make formal sense - Much like America did not make sense to him when he first arrived here.
Motsinger is influenced by the process of layering, editing, and creating spaces of the unknown. He finds inspiration in many ways, such as exploring topographical maps or observing the inner workings of viruses and diseases. Expressing his inner emotions using raw materials, while also combining the severance of architectural landscapes, grants him the opportunity to identify with the technique, exploration, and freedom.
