Blended & Online Course Development Cohort
The focus of the cohort meetings is to walk participants through a step by step process of developing a blended or online course. Topic sessions include the following: • Aligning course goals, weekly topics, learning objectives, lecture and instructional materials to student work and assessments (case studies, research projects, group projects, critical thinking exercises, quizzes/test, ePortfolios, and more). • Elaborating on key concepts in weekly lectures • Triangulating lecture support materials (reading assignments, instructor discussion on key concepts, other perspectives, views, and discussion on key concepts) • Gathering materials and resources to support lecture concepts • Demonstrating technology that could be integrated into instruction • Creating an instructional plan for your course • Managing and facilitating student learning in a blended or online course
