North Central College invites the community to attend the free Cornerstone Day Celebration Picnic from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Jefferson Commons, located on the lawn east of Brainard Street at Jefferson Avenue. The event will feature sample cuisine provided by Chartwells--the College's food service provider--and Naperville restaurants. Entertainment will be provided by talented North Central College student performers. In the event of rain, the picnic will be held in the Wentz Concert Hall lobby at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Cornerstone Day commemorates the College's 1870 move to Naperville and the laying of the cornerstone for Old Main. Participating Naperville restaurants are The Bangkok Village, bd's Mongolian Grill, Belgio's Catering, Braconi's Restaurant & Pizzeria, Dark Horse Pastries, Deccan Spice, Egg Harbor Cafe-Naperville, Eggs, Inc., Front Street Cantina, One Tough Cookie Company, Paisans Pizzeria-Lisle, Pizzeria Neo, Quigley's Irish Pub, Smallcakes Cupcakery, Sullivan's Steakhouse.
