To celebrate Earth Day, NCC Green Scene presents North Central College's First Annual Climate Change Panel at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in the Harold and Eva White Activities Center, 325 E. Benton Ave. Professors from multiple disciplines and working professionals will discuss climate change from the perspective of their areas of expertise. This free event is open to students and the campus community. Faculty panelists include Paul Bloom, associate professor of physics; Silvia Alvarez-Clare, assistant professor of biology; and Matthew Krystal, associate professor of anthropology. Other panelists are Vikas Chandola, who earned an M.B.A. and master's degree in liberal arts with an emphasis on sustainability from Harvard. He will discuss the effects of climate change on business and economics.
