Tim Coffman is one of the most active trombonists and instructors in the Chicago area. He is in demand for studio and show work and has performed with a host of performers, including Frank Sinatra, Louie Bellson, The Woody Herman Orchestra, Arturo Sanduval, Clark Terry, bassist Ron Carter, Kurt Elling, Al Jarreau, Joe Lovano, Benny Golson, Diana Krall and many others. A regular member of the Rob Parton Big Band and the Chicago Jazz Ensemble, he is now a member of the New Standard Jazz Orchestra. His debut recording Crossroads is available on the Blujazz label. Joining Tim for this concert are Mitch Paliga (saxophone), Art Davis (trumpet), Chris White (piano), Kelly Sill (bass) and Jack Mouse (drums).
