North Central College welcomes Moroccan scholar Hamza Tayebi for a free lecture at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in the College's Smith Hall at Old Main, 30 N. Brainard St. Her lecture, titled "The Middle East and North Africa After the Arab Spring: Lessons To Be Learned," will give a reflective look at the Arab Spring. It's also a celebration of the College's recent launching of a minor in MENA (Middle East/North Africa) studies.
