North Central College welcomes Alexander Barna, Outreach Coordinator at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Chicago, who will present a workshop on the many ways people in the United States carry and perpetuate negative stereotypes of Arabs. Barna will use examples from Hollywood, the media and recent history in this interactive workshop. This event launches the College's 2015-2016 focus on North Africa and the Middle East.
