North Central College invites the community to attend the free Cornerstone Day Picnic from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Jefferson Plaza, located on the lawn east of Brainard Street at Jefferson Avenue. The event will feature sample cuisine provided by Chartwells--the College's food service provider--and several Naperville restaurants, including Bangkok Village, bd's Mongolian Grill, Belgio's Catering, Braconi's, Buona Beef, Dark Horse Pastries, Eggs, Inc. Cafe, Fontano's Subs (South Naperville), Front Street Cantina, Heaven on Seven, Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House, Mesón Sabika, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Quigley's Irish Pub, Sara's Grill & Eastern Cuisine, Smallcakes: A Cupcakery, Sullivan's Steakhouse and Twisted Olive. Entertainment will be provided by talented North Central College student performers. In the event of rain, the picnic will be held in the Wentz Concert Hall lobby at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Cornerstone Day commemorates the College's 1870 move to Naperville and the laying of the cornerstone for Old Main.
