College and Edward Hospital copresent "Family-Focused Substance Abuse Prevention"
A drug-abuse prevention program titled, "Family-Focused Substance Abuse Prevention," will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, in the theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall, 31 S. The program will provide parents with tools and tips to talk to their children and explain the consequences of addiction, including the impact on the lives of everyone surrounding the individual. The featured speakers are David Lott, MD, FASAM, FAPA, Medical Director, Addiction Services, Linden Oaks; and Justin Wolfe, LPC, CADC, CRC, Clinical Therapist, Linden Oaks. They will be joined by a panel of substance abuse experts and advocates, who will discuss a family-focused approach to preventing adolescent substance abuse.
