North Central College welcomes alumna Shawndra Brown '06 Lucas as guest speaker for its annual Prayer Breakfast on Jan. 19 kicking off a weeklong celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Hosted by the Office of Ministry and Service, the Prayer Breakfast will take place from 7 to 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, in the Harold and Eva White Activities Center. A professional mentor, Lucas has dedicated her life to serving high school and college-aged students. Since graduating from North Central with a degree in English, she received a master's degree in education from DePaul University and has worked as a ministry leader, speaker and educator.
