Honor the ministry of the Rev. Dr. Lynn Pries '67, campus chaplain
After 20 years of spiritual leadership, the Rev. Dr. Lynn Pries '67 will retire in June 2014. Please join us on March 30 to celebrate Lynn's role in bridging North Central College and the United Methodist Church and in nurturing the spiritual life of several generations of students, alumni, faculty and staff during his time on campus. Over the years, Lynn was a leader for many ministry and service work trips and was dedicated to helping students discern their calling to the ministry. In 2001, he was named "Chaplain of the Year" by the United Methodist Foundation for Christian Higher Education.
At this special worship service, we will also recognize and honor the College's connection with Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and the ongoing effort to build support for leadership programs and scholarships through the Albright-Wesley Society. The program will include a message by Bishop Sally Dyck of the UMC Northern Illinois Conference and music by North Central's Voices of Praise gospel choir.
A reception will follow. Please RSVP to the Office of Alumni Relations at 630-637-5200 or alumni@noctrl.edu. The event will be held at Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave.
