North Central College alumni Rick Guzman ‘99 and Gonzalo Arroyo ’89 will talk about their work in helping Aurora families break the cycle of working-class poverty in a presentation titled “Innovative Approaches to Community Development.” Guzman, director of Emmanuel House, will explain how his organization strengthens family stability through home ownership. Arroyo, Center director of Family Focus Aurora, will describe his work in promoting “the well-being of children by supporting and strengthening their families in and with their communities.”
