His music shines a light on the rich blues of the past while forging ahead with his own modern twist on a classic sound he has embodied since his teens. Shepherd has been listed among the top blues guitarists of all time by Guitar World magazine. The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band debuted in 1995 with "Ledbetter Heights,' which topped the Billboard blues chart. The 1997 follow-up, "Trouble Is¦," also reached the top of the blues charts and featured the hit single "Blue on Black." The band has released seven albums, including the most recent "How I Go."
