The Education Faculty, Alumni, and Students will hold a special event at the Lora Tyson Center in the Oesterle Library (320 E School Street) on Saturday Oct. 27 to celebrate the rich tradition of education at NCC. This event will include a variety of "poster sessions" that feature the success of Jr/Sr. Scholars (and its 25th anniversary), Teach First, Educational Leadership, the Addison Clinical Experience, and important initiatives of student organizations like SLATE, Alpha Delta Delta, Guys Who Teach and others. Alumni, faculty, students, and guests are encouraged to attend. Come out and see the wonderful development of the Tyson Center for educators, in honor of Dr. Lora Tyson. The event will take place 10:00-11:00 AM, coffee, juice and bagels will be served. It will be followed by a pre-game barbeque sponsored by the Education faculty at 12:00 in the Merner parking lot. Just look for the NCC flag and banner. The parade will take off at 12:45 and end in the Merner lot, as well. The kickoff for the football game is at 2:00.
