Throughout her illustrious career, Bernadette Peters has dazzled audiences and critics with her performances on stage and television, in concert and on recordings. One of Broadway's most critically acclaimed performers, Peters has won numerous accolades, including three Tony Awards, a Golden Globe, two Grammy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Most recently she appeared on Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's "Follies" and "A Little Night Music." This season, Peters received the Isabelle Stevenson Award, which acknowledges an individual from the theatre community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteerism to one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organizations. While Peters is best known for her work in the theatre, her career also boasts an impressive list of television credits, most recently, guest starring roles in the hit series "Smash" and "Ugly Betty."
