North Central College's Cultural Events program and Anderson's Bookshop present author Stacy London at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, in Wentz Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. London is co-host of the TLC show, "What Not to Wear." In her new book, "The Truth About Style," she shares her own often painful history and her philosophy of the healing power of personal style and illustrates her ideas with a series of detailed "start-overs" with eight real women, demonstrating how personal style helps them overcome emotional obstacles. A limited number of free admission-only tickets are available for North Central College students, faculty and staff. For more information contact Judy Brodhead, associate professor of English and cultural events coordinator, at jabrodhead@noctrl.edu or 630-637-5276. Members of the public may gain admission to the talk through the purchase of a copy of London's book by calling Anderson’s at 630-355-2665 or visiting their store at 123 Jefferson Ave., where they will receive a ticket with a signing number along with the book.
