"The Flu Season"
In Will Eno's "The Flu Season," a man and a woman fall in and out of love with one another, a play gets written and rewritten, and the meaning of life is examined. "The Flu Season" is a woozy love story about the pain and joy of life, love and play-making. North Central College students will perform "The Flu Season," a contemporary play about the pain and joy of life. Four performances of "The Flu Season" will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11-13 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 14 in Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Tickets are $10/adults and $8/students and senior citizens; call the North Central College Box Office at 630-637-SHOW (7469) or visit northcentralcollege.edu/showtix. North Central’s production is directed by guest artist Ted Hoerl, who directed the College’s production of "Stage Door" in 2010. Hoerl has been working in the professional theatre since 1971 when he started at Houston’s prestigious Alley Theatre. He has directed, produced, designed or stage managed at more than 50 theatres and acted in more than 100 plays for such theaters and companies as Chicago’s Goodman, Remy Bumppo, Shattered Globe, New American, Next, About Face, Shaw Chicago and Organic theatre companies. In addition to directing, his career credits include casting films and commercials, teaching and guest speaking. Please note that this performance will include the use of strobe lighting.
