North Central College and ChemWest present a free chemistry demonstration by award-winning high school chemistry teacher Bob Becker at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the College's Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave. Becker will conduct about 20 exciting chemistry demonstrations, including the Pringles Rocket, the Flaming Vapor Burn and the Whoosh Bottle. Becker has presented more than 180 workshops and demonstrations across the country and writes about his experiments in numerous publications. His recent awards include the 2011 Missouri Teacher of the Year Award and the 2012 Missouri Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
