Chicago author Jian Ping and her daughter, Lisa Xia, host a screening of "Mulberry's Child" from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, in Smith Hall of Old Main, 30 N. Brainard St. The film is based on the book of the same name written by Ping about her experience as the daughter of a high-ranking Chinese government official and her family's struggle for survival during the Cultural Revolution. Free and open to the public.
