North Central College presents Herbie Hancock. A true icon of modern music, Herbie Hancock has transcended limitations and genres while maintaining his unmistakable voice. His illustrious career includes an Academy Award for his Round Midnight film score and 14 Grammy Awards, including 2008's Album of the Year. With profound compositions including "Cantaloupe Island", "Chameleon", and "Rockit", there are few artists in the music industry who have had more influence on acoustic and electronic jazz, R&B and modern rock. Now in his fifth decade as a performing artist, Herbie Hancock remains where he has always been: in the forefront of world culture, technology and music, leaving his inimitable imprint wherever he lands.
