Anderson's Bookshops present an author talk by Molly Shannon at North Central College's Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave., on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. Tickets, about $20, include one copy of her new book and admission to the program and signing line. A limited number of tickets for children ages 10 and under are available for $5 each and include admission to the program, but no book. Molly Shannon is well known for the unforgettable and hilarious characters she has brought to the stage and screen, like Mary Katherine Gallagher on "Saturday Night Live" and "Superstar" and for roles in "Never Been Kissed" and television sitcoms. She appeared on "Saturday Night Live" for six years, earning one of the show’s longest runs as a female cast member. But now she’ll get a chance to share a new character, Tilly, in her first book, "Tilly the Trickster," a new picture book for young readers. The book is illustrated by Ard Hoyt.
