In It's Flow - New Paintings and Drawings of Amazonia by Bob Nugent January 21- February 15, 2011 Artist Reception Friday, January 28, 2011 6:00-8:00pm The work transcribes a memory of objects and impressions captured during repeated sojourns to the Amazon River Basin. The river boils an object to the surface only to swallow it up again to reappear later. These impressions are a memory of the river bound on both sides by a high, dark jungle; foreboding and beautiful. When the jungle takes you in, it takes you in whole. The exhibit in Schoenherr Gallery is open to the public. Schoenherr Gallery is located at the Fine Art Center, 171 E Chicago Ave., and is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays, and will be open one hour before most performances in the Fine Arts Center.
