Art Exhibit by Chun Arhtur Wang With my education and life experiences in both the East and West, I try to explore cultural hybrid in my artwork. I investigate an oriental mood through combining the Western traditional oil language with influence of Buddhist and Chinese folk art. Except subject, my work absorbs many Chinese art concept and themes, such as decorative color, geometric forms, reorganized linear quality, and non-depth in perspective. The exhibit opens Sunday, September 5 in Oesterle Library Gallery and is open to the public. Oesterle Gallery is located in the Oesterle Library at 320 E School Street, and is open Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - midnight, Friday 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, Saturday 9:00am - 5:30 pm, and Sunday noon - midnight.
