North Central College students Grace Morris ’16 and Briana Tobin ’16 showcase their artwork, inspired by study abroad experiences in Singapore, April 10-May 1. The art exhibition is entitled, Dawn over Dusk: Singapura. There will be an artist reception on Friday, April 24th from 5-7pm in Oesterle Gallery.

Inspired by 17th century Dutch landscapes, Chicago-based painter Brian Ritchard turned his attention to creating a series of paintings depicting American wind farms. Steeped in direct observation of Midwest American wind farms, the paintings brought about a more traditional engagement with art history, while simultaneously providing a subject that is both modern and contemporary.

North Central College presents a Student Jazz Ensembles Concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15th, in Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Admission is free. The concert will feature the Big Band, under the direction of Bryan Scott, and the Jazz Combos led by Mitch Paliga and Chris White.
