North Central College hosts the annual Prairie Classic crosstown football matchup between Neuqua Valley and Waubonsie Valley high schools of Indian Prairie School District 204. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, in the College’s Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium, 455 S. Brainard St. For ticket information contact the high schools.

The annual Homecoming Kickoff Concert opens the concert season for the Cardinal Chorus, Chamber Singers, Women's Chorale, Concert Choir, Concert Winds, and Jazz Combo I. Jack Mouse, director; Jacqueline Schutt, Lawrence Van Oyen, and Ramona M. Wis, conductors; and Barbara Vanderwall and Jon Warfel, accompanists.
