The public is invited to a free lecture by snake researcher Dr. Zoltan Takacs, research associate/assistant professor at the University of Chicago. Dr. Takacs, recently named to National Geographic's list of "Emerging Explorers," is a herpetologist who does field and lab work on medical uses of snake venom.
